NB that from October 2019 to the end of 2020 I’m focusing on 3 aspects only of my work: the Islands of the Heart courses on Iona, the distance learning Tongues in Trees course and an ecosoul project, and completing a book on trees and its companion book on the Lost Feminine. Therefore, most of what generally happens on my programme, as outlined below, is on hold temporarily.
Groupwork for adults: day workshops, weekend and week-long residential retreats and courses currently in creative and reflective writing, in poetry, the novel, Zen and poetry, in writing in psychospirituality, for therapy and personal growth, in exploration of ecosoul work (‘Horse Medicine’, or ‘Tongues in Trees’, for instance), and in the service of deep ecology. They take place on Exmoor and Dartmoor, in Cornwall, the Hebrides, Brittany and France. (Most popular, perhaps, have been the many workshops I lead that combine poetry/prose writing with being out in the natural world, gently walking.)
I keep forgetting to mention that for about 25 years now I’ve been leading an invitation-only advanced monthly poetry group, ‘Two Rivers’. Some of the original members are still with me, and many are now published.
It feels important to mention that I have a counselling qualification (NB not to be confused with a psychology degree, which does not offer the therapeutic training). Because groupwork of any depth will sometimes stir stuff up, I want to reassure you that I create and hold a safe, nurturing and confidential space.

One-to-one mentoring, tutoring, coaching and consultancy in creative, reflective, and therapeutic writing, ecowriting, creativity and personal development through poetry, myth, archetype and story, and your own creative project; also individual ecopsychology, walking and talking therapeutic coaching, and mindfulness sessions. We co-design the content according to what you are looking for. These can all take place via email or face-to-face. Click here
Online courses STORYMAKING: writing the novel; ELEMENTS OF POETRY; THRESHOLDS; and new for the end of 2018 the yearlong online course TONGUES in TREES. This is proving exciting and rich for all of us, and will happen again, beginning on the winter solstice 2019.
Then there’s The Poetry Lab: from time to time I work with very small selected groups online, workshopping the individuals’ poetry. (I also offer this for other organisations such as MsLexia magazine.)
Workshops for schools (& INSET days for teachers) drawing together creative writing, environmental awareness and emotional intelligence, often wholly or partly outdoors (I’ve been offering all my groupwork, adult and student, for 27+ years).
I also write a blog (not just on writing), and would be delighted if you signed up to receive that: http://roselle-angwin.blogspot.co.uk
