Are you someone who:
- longs for the space and time to concentrate on a writing project or potential project
- would like to have the option of spending time with other writers
- would appreciate feedback from a seasoned tutor and the peer group
- would be delighted to be catered for (delicious veggie food, and wine)
- would love all this to happen in a beautiful and inspiring place?
If so, maybe this is the week for you. This retreat is offered to anyone who has a work-in-progress project, e.g. putting together a novel, a poetry collection, creative non-fiction, eg memoir, travel, or eco/nature-writing, or simply would like creative time to muse, reflect and find inspiration in stunning surroundings, with a balance of solitude and the company of other writers.
Included in the fee is a daily afternoon work-in-progress feedback session. There is the option, for a fee, of 1-to-1 mentoring with this well-published and very experienced writer-tutor.
One-to-one mentoring: £60 per contact hour, and included in that fee will be my advance reading of up to a maximum of 2000 words of prose (plus VERY BRIEF summary) and 8 poems. (More can be negotiated.)
There is always the distraction of a hammock, the waterfall pool, or wild swimming in the Gardoussel private stretch of river, or the waterfall pool. The local market tends to feature. This year, 2016, we began each morning with a wonderful dynamic meditation near the river on the wooden yoga deck, with music (optional!). If you really want to spoil yourself, on-site massage is also available.
