Poetry in Nature

Poetry in Nature sessions 2019

East Devon: Trevanin Farm, Woodbury Salterton

Spring Sunday May 5th, 2–5pm;
Summer Sunday July 7th, 2-5pm;
Autumn Sunday October 6th, 2-5pm, with a poetry reading afterwards.

For the 50th anniversary of the death in Woodbury of the renowned botanist Rev William Keble Martin, whose Concise British Flora in Colour was published in 1965, I’ve been asked to offer a short series of Sunday afternoon walking and writing workshops.

Give yourself an hour or three to slow down outdoors, be present, and immerse yourself in the natural world. We’ll be looking with a poet’s eyes, sharing pieces of favourite writing by others, and finding ways to record our own responses, under my guidance. No previous creative writing experience needed, but you do need to be comfortable with some gentle strolling in silence.

You can attend all three Sunday afternoons, or just come to one. Fee will be by donation; PLEASE BOOK WITH DIANA BELOW.
